Interesting to see the logo of AmigaONE at the bottom of

http://mall.amiga.com/amigamall/index.php?type=apparel

Looks kinda good I think. Is this the new official AmigaONE
logo or just one of many used to represent the system (the
old one - the "boingball-with-a-blue-sparkling-core" is still
to be seen)?

Good to have some nice, friendly stuff to discuss for a
change! The AmgiaMall site looks good. Clean and simple
and not too much unnecessary drivel. The Exteme cases
are very impressive too. That black case is very nice.
Doubt I would afford it though - it doesn't seem to be
available separately, or am I wrong? I'm not THAT much
of a 'super user' that I need 1GB of RAM... :-)

Logging on to Amiga mall from the portal, you get:

"Server busy; Please try again later."

Now that's either a massive, unexpected interest :-o or
some error with the server I guess. :-/

North and South Carolina Users interested in a \\\'local\\\' user group should visit NCSC Amiga Users Group page and sign up for membership. It\\\'s free!

Oh..............Oh my god! I want! I really do want that system.

Hmmm I wish that tower was bigger. Its got the same amount of bays as my current Power Tower. I`ve run out in this one. Its way too easy to fill up.

Oh well. There are other more extreme sized cases out there. :-)

Teaken from the http://www.extremeamiga.com/
News section.

Extreme Has Posted general Pricing for Amiga One Systems. Due to very rigid technical support issues, we are only selling complete systems, not motherboards alone. There are very specific RAM configuration issues, graphic card issues, etc., that may pose problems for users who try to configure their own systems. We also feel that any computer with the Amiga name should be sold as a complete unit as it always has been in the past, (and also to to preclude any of the above mentioned problems from happening.)

We can provide you with a barebones system, which includes Motherboard, case & PS, RAM, and optical drive. (ALL fully compatible and tested).
Barebones G3-SE: $799
Barebones G4-XE: $999

I'm guessing that you can freely chose RAM and caseing, so those prices are propably just guidemarks. But this is as stated above this is just pure guesswork. :-?

Skyraker,

1 gig of memory? for an amiga? I thought we had a nice streamlined OS, what the hell are we going to do with all that?

Looks like we'll be building HUGE RAD drives.  Say, big enough to burn a CD from. :-)

Do like I did with my A2k.  I ran out of space in the desktop portion, so I placed all my hard drives and CD-ROM drives into a separate mega-tower, and ran an external SCSI cable from the Blizzard 060 to the tower.  Works like a charm.  Well, worked is more like it.  I gutted the system and put most of the stuff into my A4kT a few years ago.

@AmiGod

I have thought about a multi-tower system in the past. It would be nice to have that. Two cool
towers one cool computer. Hmm one at either side of my monitor with my Power Tower nearby. Hmm is
that overkill? NAHH!

I guess its a good thing with the exception of it appears that they are screwing the other dealers - having an Amiga.com address makes it appear that the other dealers out there don't matter.  In fact, I'm sure there used to be a list of Amiga dealers on the corporate site, but it appears to be gone.

I hope this doesn't greatly annoy or push out of business any of the remaining dealers.

Buy from your local dealer!

I know I certainly will.
