This must the "must to have e-mail client" for Amiga. It dosent crash like YAM, its stable, it reads HTML mail. It got a real nice interface and is MUI based.

Download this one! Best there is and one another argument why Amiga is the best computer in the world! SimpleMail v0.17 is allready on my HD and I can tell you that its never crashed my system. Never! Not with a Software Failoure or Guru.

Regards,
AmiDelf -a happy SimpleMail user!

No, it displays HTML email internally.  Quite comfortably too as opposed to the external kludge arexx scripts that YAM uses.

I too reluctantly switched over to SimpleMail from YAM and have found it much more stable and comfortable.  It is nice being able to view image attachments without having to save them to disk first too, it handles image attachments via datatypes in the mail-read window.

A very nice mail client indeed.

There is an option not to display the HTML email messages... right?  If there isn't, there needs to be and YAM has one up on SimpleMail if you can't read the plain text version of the same email.  I like the idea of inline images... but please no HTML for me.  HTML belongs on the web, not my email.  No offense intended but some people just cannot write decent HTML even with a WYSIWYG text based editor.

May plain text email rule forever.

Of course there is.  Opening up a piece of mail in SimpleMail presents a series of icons beneath the text, just click on the TEXT icon for plain text, the HTML icon to read the HTML portion, and optionally the Datatype icons for viewing attachments.

While I fully understand your dislike of HTML mail,  it's nice that we can finally read HTML specific e-mail comfortably from an Amiga mail client without having to fire up a browser first ;-)

Colour me confused, but which version of MCC_NListtree is the one to install? I've downloaded the one pointed to in the SimpleMail archive, but it complains that I still haven't gotten the latest.

Do I download:

http://home.t-online.de/home/sebauer/MCC_NListtree.lha?

Thanks
