I'd like to know if the final release version will work in an Amiga without CPU on motherboard. I'd also like to know speed of this card vs an ordinary 060/50 card. It's been confirmed that USB1.1, FireWire, Sound, IRDA, DIMM and fast IDE is going to be on this card, byt what else might be added or uppgraded before final release version? Any chance of seing a port to allow for CVPPC gfx card to be added to the card in the final release?

There is alot of pictures of the A4000/3000 prototypes but none of the other Amiga models, are there any such prototypes and if not then why not and how long till we'll see any?

Will you let this beast stay inside a standard case A1200?
Any chance to see a graphic card on the A1200 version too?
This is what I really need, don't wanna go towering my good old Miggy! I still live happily with my 060/50+SCSI and I need no tower except fot a GFX card!!! ;)

Can you explain to us in detail how you plan to get AmigaOS functionaing on the Coldfire? I am aware of many issuse that exist with the chip and 68k compatibility.

I believe you make reference to 68k emulation (for missing Addressing modes and instructions), Would this not cause considerable slow down?

Sorry I couldn't think of a better question, good luck :-)

What about compability with existing A4000 Hardware, for example the Mediator. Will there be any issues.

Btw. I would love a cheap GFX chip so that i wont have to buy an Mediator!

-Where are you now and what are the next steps in the developement?
-When do you think you *might* get to the point of having an Amiga booting (ie: getting past POST) with one of your cards?

How do you plan to emulate FPU (afaik there is none in CF),and how slow will it be ?

Will there be a PCI-slot (I think that was promised for the A2000-version), and if yes
what drivers will br available ?

Or in other words, have you contacted the CGX (or P96)team in regard of the
Voodoo3 ?

How much RAM will it take ?
And whats the cost of the whole fun ?
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@xeron
Cool indeed! Good luck to you too!!! It seems quite promising, but better with Coldfusion inside instead of the good old 060/50 ;)

how much will it co$t ?
how will it be distributed ?
do you need beta testers ? (i´d really like to be one :-D )
have you tried to overclock the working system ?
how many emails do you get each day ? (might be interesting for knowing why they are not answered - just curious, please don´t be angry)
will the software side be similar to CS060 (68040 dummy lib)
the gfx chip (already mentioned) would be interesting.
how will the integrated periphals be supported (libs, frontends) ?
would it be possible to implement a 100MBit (ie realtek) chip ?
shIva
the answer is 42 Support  Distributed Amiga - moo ;)

Could you use any help? I used to proto-board and trouble shoot multi-layer proto-type circuit cards and do surface mount work on military grade microwave frequency electronics. I ended that line of work years ago and normally wouldn't be advertising for more punishment :) But this sounds like a really cool project. Good luck
