Good - I've been waiting for a new release, but has anyone else noticed the file system errors that occur every now and then in the currect release - like deleted directories or directories being turned into files?

Also has anyone out there managed to work out a solution to the Imagine/Texture problem?
GPF (the famous Blue Screen of Death) honest version :-

The system has become busy or unstable.
Actually, we say \\"system\\" but what we really mean is \\"Windows\\".
If you like, you can wait and see if the \\"system\\" recovers.
It won\\\'t, but it will give yo

I can't wait for them to finish of AGA/CD32 emulation. It's already good but it can only get better.

Sorry, AGA emulation currently sucks really big, I 've seen both Classic Amiga and UAE on some demos in par, and UAE is slow and buggy.

Yes, there are some problems with file IO..
I often have to delete a file from the windows side,
UAEFDB_ something, then problems go away :)
Also, the FPU seems a bit broken still.

What about AmigaForever users
« Reply #6 on: August 09, 2002, 07:36:28 AM »
Two quick questions:

1). What version is in the current shipping AmigaForever (Version 5 from memory)

2). How hard is it to update to a newer version of the WinUAE for AmigaForever users

Please note this is a plea for "step by step instructions"  as I am completley new to this environment. comments like "really easy" will not be all that helpful.

Regards
Darren
I\\\'ve never used an Amiga

Convince me....

I am your future :-)

I am now a happy user of UAE, you can now call me \\"convert\\"

It is very easy to update the AF WinUAE
version. Ive done it several times.

Just download the setup program from
wnuae.net and install it.

You have to look up where on the computer
(the path) Amiga Forever has installed WinUAE
first. Then use this path when installing The new
WinUAE. It could be an idea to backup the old
WinUAE first, incase the new one is buggy.

UAE is slow

UAE’s emulation is dependant on host CPU’s speed.

Playing  MP3 at full quality within JIT WinUAE on a 1.2 Ghz Athlon will only use ~10% of v68k capability.
Amiga 1200 PiStorm32-Emu68-RPI 4B 4GB.
Ryzen 9 7900X, DDR5-6000 64 GB, RTX 4080 16 GB PC.

WinUAE together with Amiga in a Box make a pretty good team. I got it running ok now and it works ok for me now. I had to do something because Amithlon 2 is still not out.
