Simulation of Sovjet voice encryption machine "Elbrus"
« on: July 13, 2002, 02:55:46 PM »
This program is a simulation of the Sovjet voice encryption machines "elbrus" and "yakta". These machines were used to encrypt voice conversations over unsecure analogue channels such as telephone and radio. They were used for example in the NVA (Nationale Volksarmee, army of the GDR) Similar machines are still in use at the Russian army today.

:-D :-D
Weasel has a cunning plan!

Lets NOT port this to any other platform.
This way each secret agency wishing to spy on the last Amiga user will have to buy an Amiga too.
(maybe this will double the number of coupons sold)
 :-D  :-D

hmm, now if only there was an Amiga mobile phone.

from the page:
Quote
You can use the program to encrypt your own telephone calls or HAM/CB radio
transmissions

Are there programs that can make the Amiga act as a telephone (with answering machine) or as telephone computer that reacts on buttonpresses or something?

If you have modem you should be able to do this. I don't remember the name of the Amiga software now, but I'm sure it can be done.
It should work like those automatic phone operators ("Press one if you would like to spend some more time waiting, press two if you hate us already or three if you would like tips on how to commit suicide with a phone.")
Amiga: Too weird to live, too rare to die.

The 68k-version in the archive does not work as expected. Murphies Law...  I do apologize for any inconvenience!. The corrected demo version will be uploaded tonight!
