2 gfx cards, 2 monitors, one amiga

Hi all,
I have a BvisionPPC and a C64/3D inside my tower and my WB is under Bvision. I have another monitor so I was thinking about connecting the C64/3D to it so I could have a big working place or read amigaguide docs on one screen and play with the corresponding program on the other. Would it work ?
I see once someone having his WB in 2 screens and he could move the mouse from one to the other but how he did is a mystery to me.

Hmm interesting idea. I know that its possible on the PC with dedicated graphics cards, such as that made my colorgraphic (ww.colorgraphic.com IIRC) - its used by share traders, so they can watch prices on one screen while working on another.

YES you can. (CGX supports both GFX cards)

But you can't move the pointer from one screen to the other like in "DualHead" systems.

You must switch screen manually (with a commodity) or i.e in ProStationAudio, with a built-in keybord command.

now I remembered during installation of the driver for the C64/3D (CGX4.1) a question about using 2 monitors : I think I said no here.
I should check again.
So no expanded WB on 2 monitors then ?

AFAIK not. . . .but let me know if you can do it during CGX installation.

You can have WB on CV643D and the other apps opened in a separated screen on BVision.

Or, with PSA, the Timeline on a screen and the mixer into another one. (enabling the DUAL_MONITOR PSA tooltype)

You are correct that it is possible on a PC, but there's nothing special about it. Just throw in any two gfx cards in there and it will work. There's no need for any special gfx cards, as long as they're not too old  (like 5 years or younger) and your're using Win98 or newer.

Oh right, so how do you determine which application uses which monitor?

(I can't try this, as the only PC I have is a laptop)

ermm this is possible on amiga also.

anyway i used to have this just for fun .. 1 monitor as wb  and rest for ibrowse/amirc / yam etc , and a third monitor for games (using the tooltypes in my monitors dir..)

playing babeanoid on 1 screen , seeing what people write on irc in another and the third one has the yam open..sadly i cant multitask in stuff like babeanoid but it does work

anyway 2 monitors is supported in SS with the overlap funcion..

Oh right, so how do you determine which application uses which monitor?

Basically, they act as they both were the same, wide monitor, so you just drag the window over the edge of one of the monitors towards the other monitor and as the window moves over the edge it appears on the other monitor (so parts of a window can be on one monitor and the rest of it on the other).  You can set in display properties how the two monitors are physically placed in relation to each other (above, left of, right of, below etc.).

Other graphics boards often expect to be the only graphics  board in the system, and if more than one is installed, the   controlling software may become confused.  EGS' device sharing   allows multiple EGS-28/24 Spectrum boards to function independ              ently while the libraries handle all of the work to keep things  running smoothly.

I've wondered would it be possible to use 2 x  GVPs to get more speed like old voodoo cards did othert vertical and other to horizontal rendering
