Actually Seehund, there will be a very comprehensive Salvage and Recovery suite included with OS 4 by Jörg Ströhmayer.

Excelent!

You are right: it is Strohmayer.

Typo.

His recovery and salvage tools are already finished and there is support for them in the new HDToolbox replacement which is based on a client/server model so  other coders can use the functionality from their programs.

No.

Yoooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuu did  :-P

O.k since you brought me in here, I have to add my 2 cents.

Hmmm screenshoots ............... again  :-(

But when will they show (by a beta or public demonstration)
the important part of any OS ?
When will we see Amiga-apps on-top of ExecSG without the
need for an 68k (except booting), or when will we see it for the
first time on the A1 ?
Question, question so many questions, and no answers   :-x

Back to the screenshots:
Looks o.k. (but that isn't what counts), maybe usefull, but I
never had any problems surviving on HDToolBox and fdisk(linux)
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

Why should I ?
When I get a new HD I set it up (and actually I can do it faster in
fdisk then in HDToolBox), add some partitions and I'm done.

Sure this thingy looks like it lets you toy around with your HD
in all sensible (or stupid :-o ) way you want but...

Eh wait a minute .... "toy around"
Mmm an OS that lets you toy around...
Toy OS.... eh

T O S 4 !!!!  :-P

gggggggggrrrrrrrr
argh sh** I signed that damned thing about flaming and
trolling....

Why oh why was I so foolish  :-x  :-x

I think I'll better stop here  ;-)

Lots of options and stuff but I sure hope they do something about ReAction in OS4. It's just awful-looking!

Something like GadTools with MCP's GadToolsPatch would be much nicer.
Amiga: Too weird to live, too rare to die.

And why do you think I used a "T" this time ?
I could have come around with a different letter, but somehow
I thought, it has to be that "T".........

But are you going to be able to change size of partitions without loosing data?
