Why would the AROS team flame?

MOS and AOS4 are commercial projects, and they are compeating in the same market. They are always going to be at a head with each other.

AROS is a free open source project, which we do for the benefit of anybody who wishes to use it.
We have no hidden agenda, and wish both the MOS and AOS4 projects every success.

I would like to add that we have looked into porting AROS to AmigaDE (Tao Elate), while such a system should be possible there are quite a few "hardware" related issues which need to addressed. The most important of these is that for AROS to task switch, it needs to directly access the CPU regs... apprently quite difficult on the Elate VP.

Hi bloodline,

You are doing a great job on Aros. It is a great project. Keep up the work. Nice to see someone of the Aros team here.

Bloody <-- if i can call you that :)...

The CD iso was made out to be dangerous on the website... Like, hrmm... cant remember what it said... but i didnt like the sound of it...

With the ISO does that contain the filesystem and everthing on it? - Sounds good, but yer, i dont think i'd be able to do much with out a workbench...

Nice to hear you have MUI like functionalities in the menu! But a workbench i think would attract more users and when people start to see a workbench in screen shots, more and more people will have a lookse at it, which i think will attract users.

Do you plan on making your system POSIX compliant? Or atleast be able to compile POSIX apps?

Will it also be possible to compile somthing like BASH and be able to use different shells?

I also like the addition of the multiuser file system :) - very very nice adition. Hrmm, will AROS be multiuser like Unix?

Do you plan on implimenting many other Unix features (like the multiuser file system) in AROS? In other words, steal ideas :), which is always good!!! - windows has made lotsa money out of it!

I seriously doubt that but if Amiga inc does something so foolish im confident the Aros dudes will remove/change whatever it is they can claim is ilegall with Aros.

(OT) Folks, please stop blaming Amiga Inc for the Amithlon situation.  The fault for that must be placed 100% at the door of Haage & Partner, who are STILL distributing it despite being told to stop by the author, and who are STILL claiming it is a fully licensed product despite admitting that they have not signed a license deal with Amiga Inc.

Just as bhoggett I place the fault at Haage & Partner. They are the ones to blame. I did not see them coming out with a reply on this situation.
