Hey guys!

Just a quick question for you...

The perfect AmiRadio app isn't running that perfect yet on my Ami...

The problem is that I can't get it to load a whole volume at once, I've got a partion with all my files in their respectfully directories...

The function "load dir" in it doesn't seem to work as it's supposed to...

As it is now I have to select one dir at the time, this in my case takes hours because there is alot of directories to add...

Any ideas to solve this?

-Cheers
LP

Add files recursively. The option is there.

I'm affraid that this doesn't solve my problem...
I've tried that already...

But I've noticed that my file-requester is unable to select dirs??? Could there be something in that aspect?

Are you perhaps running some kind of ASL patch like MagicASL?

If so, disable the patch and try again.

There were some issues in the past with ASL patches and adding files/dirs recursively to the playlist of ANR, but I can't exactly remember what it was all about.

Aminet radio don't even work on my machine. It keeps crying for guigfx.library, render.library - even though its installed! So i have to make do with AmigaAmp! Any ideas why it don't work, maybe i'll email the author about it.

Thanks,

What version of guigfx.library (please also note that guigfx.library requires render.library installed) are you using?

I have just download the whole lot again, libraries and Aminet Radio, from the AminetRadio website. So i will give it another shot tonight and see the results. Thanks for the concern.

I'm not running any ASL patches at all...

The ASL prefs in workbench3.9 are as they were from default install can it might be this then?

-Thanks for your tries anyway!

@lempkee

Have you any screensavers running? -It looks like to me, if it goes down after a specific amount of time it could be another prog. that makes it crash by calling some of it's libraries or similar stuff?

I reinstalled the goodies yesterday. And AminetRadio works. But not very well. The mp3 qualities are bad and the machine sometimes lock up for no reason (or on the about screen). I use AHI v4, but all the other mp3 players (amigaAmp and eagle player) all work very well. Have i configured it wrong?

As for the bad audio quality: Yes you probably configured something wrong.

Try using an audiomode instead of using the musicunit first. Musicunit could be the cause of some lock ups.

Aha! What like use unit 0 like AmigaAmp does. I will try that. Thanks!

@Framiga,

What do you mean? What part of the AHIprefs? What ever it is i'll see tonight and post tomorrow, but i really don't think its an AHI problem. As AmigaAmp and Eagle Player plays mp3s crystal clear even on Puala audio. And all the other programs, games that make use of it works as well. I will admit though, that i had a hard time setting the bugger up. I use AHI v4 for 68k. Is there a later AHI out (or one for PPC)?

Thanks,

I played around with some of the settings under AminetRadio. I currently use Fast 14 Bit paula audio stereo and with the highest frequency it can take. The mp3s now play much clearer now. But the whole thing still crashes sometimes (lock ups) and i don't know what causing it. It is also not using the music unit so that isn't the problem. Anyone have any ideas?
