UGN webcast from AmiWest 2001
« on: July 24, 2001, 07:30:32 AM »
The UGN invites you to join us at the ">AmiWest 2001 show.  This year we
will start on Friday 27th at 7:00 PM PST (GMT -7) at 8:00 PM PST we will
webcast a keynote speech by Bill McEwen.  On the 28th and 29th we will have
live coverage from the show floor, visit the UGN  website for information
on who will be available to chat with.

Like shows in the past the UGN will be using Shoutcast technology to deliver
live audio to Amiga users round the world.  To listen to the audio visit
the AmiNet and grab a shoutcast compatible program.  The UGN recommends the
"StreAmi" program, for more information visit ugn.amiga.org.  For
the webcam images the UGN uses ImageFx from Novadesign, AmFTP from Vapor,
and Miami from Nordic Global Inc.  To view the webcam you can use a browser
or a webcam viewer from the AmiNet, see ugn.amiga.org for more details.

Participating at ">AmiWest 2001 will be done the same way as Amiga St Louis
2001.  Durning the broadcast we will have ICQ available, if you can a question
simply send us a message.  We ask that you send us your real name and location
so that we can give you credit for the question.  For the Amiga the UGN recommends
"STRICQ," it can be found the AmiNet or from ugn.amiga.org.  To
add the UGN to your ICQ friends list use the ICQ# 112800234, ICQ nick "UGN".

The UGN would like to thank Amiga.org, Amiga, Inc. and AmiWest 2001 for
their support.  With out their efforts this would not be possible.

Bill Borsari - Director UGN
