the playstation controller is also the worst "modern" controller of the bunch
I'd prefer a Gamecube controller. I have a GC Controller->USB adapter and it works great on my PC.

Sure, but something like an X Arcade with a Playstation adapter would cost 150 dollars, and then you'd have to buy the converter as well
