Floppy repair utilities?
« on: May 22, 2009, 05:12:04 PM »
I have a drivers disk that keeps giving me 884, 885 and 888 errors.  I just click cancel and it loads and works.  I looked on aminet but didn't see anything that popped out at me.

Any suggestions?

If it's just a driver disk, why not copy all the files off onto another disk? Then, if that works, format the original and copy them back on...

Failing that, there's always DiskSalv

That was easier said than done until I got my Tower up and running when my 4000 D crashed on me.  I was going to try that lastnight but I gave up.

Disksalv or quarterbacktools, in that order if you're trying to recover a floppy.

Failing that, see if you can't get the drivers online, say on aminet.
