Did anyone here back from Joe on Thursday or friday confirming shipment? Or did another Week pass and no boards? I did e-mail him requesting a full refund on Saturday (yesterday)  if they were not shipped.but so far no news back.

Just an update on the Typhoon accelerators. Joe emailed me this morning letting me know that he had confirmed the Typhoon cards will be in tomorrow (Friday 6/18). Now, that was all he said and I hope that also implies that all orders outstanding will be processed and shipped tomorrow as well.:D

I did not receive a whole lot of feedback from my last post concerning payment, but Joe's emailed answered the payment part for me and I guess all the folks irritated over paying and not receiving their cards answered the other one.

I have patience, but with this kind of special production where everybody (manufacture/seller) is protecting against risk (loss of $$$) my patience can be truly tested when someone has my money and I have no product. I trust Joe and considering the special production run of these cards I will be a little more patient. Keeping fingers crossed.

I meant since then.... Joe has sent those same e-mails (with different dates) at least 4 times now. It seems always the same, Wednesday or Thursday he will get them in, and nothing. No follow up untill a few weeks later, when you e-mail him again.

Sorry about that quarkx.  To those that did receive cards, was there any shipping confirmation when their cards shipped from Joe?

I have spent thousands with Joe and never had a problem.  I would say that the manufacturing problems are most likely out of his control and there is nothing he can do to rush their completion, or resolve the delay, but he is trying to minimize any possible losses from people demanding refunds, so his communications have been sparse perhaps.  He took a chance by paying up front to have the boards made and might not break even if too many people back out of their orders.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

@amigadave.
I understand your point, we all know what Joe has done in the past, and Joe's reputation is not on trail here, but at what point is it no longer acceptable to wait for a product that is delayed? 2 months, 6 Months, 12 years? (man, I am STILL waiting for my Intellivision keyboard from Mattel- the original one that the Intellivision slid into-Black Whale).

Coupled with the fact, that since I had ordered it, another accelerator card literally fell into  my lap, leads me to the fact, that I am waiting for a card (now over 2 months) that once I receive, I am just going to turn around and sell to try and get my money back that way.
I am sure Joe has more than enough people on his list, that if I received a refund, this card would go out and not sit on a shelf somewhere.

Not good news for the rest of us. I payed based on his confirmation the cards were being delivered on 6/19. Not sure what to do at this point given we have folks who have waited up to two months.

Received an update from Joe today.

The boards are do in anyday, yesterday actually then Mike found 1  issue he had to correct. So if all goes well should get them today  and shipped out

So they are completed and not in development or anything like that
This looks to be good news and hopefully the card will get shipped today or tomorrow.

Received yet another update from our friend Joe today.

I just heard from Mike 10 minutes ago and I should have non scsi  boards today and the scsi models by Thursday
Seeing that I ordered a SCSI model I guess mine will not be available for shipment until Thursday.  I do appreciate Joe keeping the communication flowing on the status of this very cool production run.  It is important to us all who have ordered.

I have been involved with past retro production where the the folks leading it did not have the capital to front the production, but had the experience to get it done.  Sometimes it takes an above average amount of time to do these runs and perform quality control measures to assure what is produced is top notched.  I believe most of us are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, I am sure that one or two refund requests aren't going to break Joe, and I can see why you wanted your refund after finding another accelerator card (which has nothing to do with Joe), but my point was that the Amiga users that ordered these boards should have expected some kind of delay for a production run of Antique hardware and shown some more restraint before going on a public forum and complaining about it.

Joe should have probably been better with his communication too, to keep people from turning to the forums to complain, but it just seems to be a recurring theme on Amiga forums to see impatience and complaining following lack of communication.  I was just trying to ease peoples fears and support Joe as a long time supporter of Amiga users everywhere.

Agree completely. Joe should have sent a few more e-mails and should definitely simplify his Web site to the point where it can be kept current with limited time and manpower resources. We all should also see patience is in order for these limited runs of old product. I got my 4060 board later than promised, but not really later than expected. I'm still waiting on my GVP graphics cards, and I trust completely it will arrive in due course.

Wow, awesome! Do you mind taking some photos of the board and packaging? Would be cool to see!!

I am still awaiting my GVP Spectrum graphics card...seems those cards are also delayed but for me that is ok, I am in no rush.

I have never had a problem with Joe or software hut either.  I think the production issues are kind of beyond his control...
