Amiga is coming back to Wii

UAE for the wii
As has been discussed in comments before, I've started a googlecode project for a Nintendo Wii port of UAE, the Universal Amiga Emulator. It's based on the latest and greatest E-UAE sources and is built for SDL all the way.

Those that are familiar with the Wii homebrew "scene" will know that there is another port of UAE by someone called "Gouky". However, he never released sources for this even after repeated inquiries of it - which makes it a clear GPL violation. Clearly bad behavior, and this is the main reason I started this.

Today I have some progress to show:...

Cool.  I hope you don't need to "chip" your Wii for it.

Homebrew on the Wii can be done by using a hacked savegame file for Zelda: Twilight Princess, via the SD card. Then apps can be loaded via SD also.

I'll be keeping my eye on this one. :)
A3000 - 030/25, Toaster, ??? - rebuild in process
2x A2000 being cannibalized and rebuilt
A1000 - Rejuvinator, AGA2000, AdSPEED/IDE, 4GB CF HD, 1MB chip, 0.5MB fast, OS3.1

You can also use a bootdisc to "softmod" it (I'm sure there are ISOs knocking about...) almost like using Relokick or similar on the Amiga.
Engineers do it with precision

The bootdisc  is for Wii's with a mod chip. The Twilight hack works on wii's with the old system menu, and there is BannerBomb for wii's with the latest firmware, but ya, no mod needed, easy to hack!

And now there is BootMii!!

Google it!

I'm using bannerbomb on a firmware 3.4 wii. I got the emulator up but none of the adf's i've tried go for more than a minute before the whole machine crashes. Is there an issue with using bannerbomb? I don't have a twilight disc. Should I update to the latest firmware and try it again, or should I hit the game store and try the twilight vector? Changing my uaerc settings doesn't seem to make a difference.

Cool! Have been keen to try some homebrew on my Wii, but don't want to brick it! Is the bannerbomb/Homebrew channel installation reliable and brick-free? :)

Having UAE on it would be great!
