I know there are a couple of people using NTL on here (doesn't someone work for them too?) so I'm sure someone can help. As you may know from my previous posts I'm trying to get online via an NTL cable modem and ethernet card in a Mediator. I have configured the card so I can ping my friends PC and vice versa (we are connected by a hub, the modem is connected via ethernet cable to the hub into the uplink port) Lights on the hub are lit for the two PCs, and the light for the modem blinks on and off as if there is data. The lights on the modem are lit for : Power, PC, Cable, and blinks for data, not in an on/off type cycle but randomly, like the hub as if there is data. However, I cannot configure MiamiDX to go online. Miami init does not allow me to select the fastethernet.device, so i can't use that (even though it works fine when manually configuring using MiamiDX) I have not yet registered MIamiDX, do I need to just to get it online (I know I do if I want to have the PC online too via my amiga as a gateway, which I will at some point). In Miami, lots of the options ere greyed out, (like the gateway button) and so I cannot actually click to get online, even though I can make the Network card interface online. It could be that NTL has disconnected the service, as the guy who had the contract in our house didn't pay the bill, and the phone got cut off although the internet was working for a long while afterwards (over a year) and it seems that there is data there. I've followed the instructions on the mediator pages but get stuck halfway through as options are greyed out.
