A2000 online
« on: April 27, 2009, 08:15:55 PM »
I finally got back to working on my A2000 after ignoring it for many months. Got the CD-Rom drive and file system working yesterday and the networking issues fixed today.

So I'm posting this from my fully armed and operational A2000.

Tell us more!  What did you have to do to get your A2000 online?

I have an A2000HD and would love to update it to make it surf the web!

Thanks,
Mike Valverde

Yeah, specs please! Video card, ECS or OCS? Modem or hi-speed? Always curious about these things  :-)  My 060/Picasso equipped A2500 handles the internet pretty well. iBrowse and AWeb are excellent for how "outdated" they are and I've never used a faster mail program than YAM. Just need to configure it to work with newsgroups and I'll be set!

Here's a hardware list and the software I used to get it going. I could never get Miami to work, so I downloaded the AmiTCP demo.

It connected right up once I got the software configured.

The generic pages load fine, but it chokes on most javascript stuff. -JM
