Can an A2000 accommodate 2 SCSI hard drive contoller cards?  (say, two A2090 cards and multiple internal drives)

When I got my 2000, it had a 68030 board in it with 2 scsi drives, a toaster, and and some sort of DPS doodad to go with the toaster that also had it's own hard drive (so 3 drives total).  All this was on the original power supply.

Yes, as long as the scsi host adapters use different id's, or different scsi devices if you use an A2090 and a GVP scsi card.

I don't know if you can change the scsi host id on an A2090.  Some scsi adapters you can, but many you can't.

Since you can have up to 7 scsi devices (hard drives) on one scsi controller, why would you want to use more than one controller card.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

You don't have to change any host adapter IDs - as long as they behave (device name wise) you can use as many controllers as you have slots. (Each SCSI chains has its own IDs.)

The A2090 however doesn't behave especially nicely, so I wouldn't bet anything on using multiple cards... But of course you can set up up to 7 SCSI and 2 MFM  drives as amigadave posted.

The A2091 supports two controllers on the same A2000. They name themselves as scsi.device and 2nd_scsi.device as standard.

But is mandatory to disable autoboot on one of the cards for obvious reasons.
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.
