« on: March 28, 2009, 12:26:33 AM »
I have done something to my workbench 3.1 disk as when I boot of it it goes to the dos prompt and not into workbench, how do I get it to boot into workbench again?

That'll work, might not even have to end the cli, but check out your startup-sequence or better yet, your user-startup file in the S directory. LoadWB should be the last command. I bet it's missing...

Oh yes of course!

Well what it is is that my CF hd has failed.

OK now that I can get into workbench, partitioned the cf into 2 partitions, I click on the install drawer but now a guru pops up saying 'insert volume ENV in any drive'.

How do I rectify this on my 3.1 install disk?

insert the following line in the startup-sequence after the setpatch command ...

assign env: ram:
