Hi all
« on: March 27, 2009, 12:58:51 PM »
Hi folks, some of you may know me from AmiBay, the guy who just bought everything off of everbody in the last week!

I started out in the days of the ZX81, went through a VIC-20, C64 and specturm before getting well into Amigas back in the day. Started with a A1000, went through a couple of 2000's and an A3000 before turning to the dark side of PC land in about 93.

I'm trying to get together a collection of all the Miggys I've owned and get them into the condition I remember them!

Hi.  It's good to see so many people are coming.

Since this is weekend already, you have a chance to skim all the forums :-)

Have good time.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

Welcome back indeed!

If you're into doing modern or semi-modern things with your Amiga's, keep an eye out for the SAM boards w/ OS4.x and the MorphOS projects. Lots of exciting new goings-ons here in Amigaland  :-)

For me the new kit seems too expensive for what it offers and I could never justify buying it when I use a fairly beefy PC for gaming and everyday stuff.

The classic Amiga still has quite a hold over me, though. It's great to be in possession again of hardware that has such fond memories for me. I'm looking forward to stripping these machines down, cleaning them up and then playing all the old games and demos that blew me away all those years ago :-D
