Cheap Small Portable Screen with RCA or S-video input?
« on: March 20, 2009, 07:19:40 AM »
I need something that fits the title's d description too plug an Amiga, C64, and Atari XE into. I can go RCA and S-Video.

I am aware that some portable DVD players have this video input feature, but would think it would be cheaper without the dvd player built in, or am I thinking wrong?

Screen does not have to be best quality, it's merely for live musick.

Thankx in advance for advice.

I have a small color LCD that was made as an add-on for an in-car DVD player system.  It takes a small video jack, like a headphone jack with more contacts.  I was able to make a cable for it my my soldering is not so good so it goes in and out.  I'd be willing to sell it if you are interested. I'll give you the cable I created, although I would suggest you make your own cable.

PM if interested.

Take care,

Heather

Do yourself a favor and go for S-Video - composite (RCA) is very poor quality.

Thank you all! Though I must say...

I don't see any prices on that last link posted. Odd.

if you like the specs of any of those monitors, just copy&paste the model over Google and you'll find the price :)

Look in stores or classified ads for the NTSC  only  lcd tvs of several years ago. Many of them a S-video jack and some even had  a vja connector.
For instance there is a 15 inch lcd on craigslist in Ohio for $80 asking price.
