Why would anyone need more than 64mb with an amiga anyways ?

I have 64MB in my Amiga 1200, running OS3.1, and I've run into a few demos which crap out saying I don't have enough RAM. So... there's some things that need more.

I'm still looking for 128MB SIMMs for my 1260 as well.

As for why anyone needs more than 64MB... Hmmm, Lightwave, scanning at decent resolutions, editing said pictures in ImageFX, etc...
I have a scene from LightROM 3 that needs >64MB just to load!

Just my 2 cents,
I got 196Mb in my 1200, one of the big 128mb on the SCSI module that fit well under the keyboard, and a very slim 64mb single sided of Kingston memory on the blizzard (I never find the equivalent 128mb version...)
Keep the Faith !

I also repair drives of our old beloved Amiga

Because wizbag annoyed me, this SIMM is now $5 to anyone in the US and $10 to anyone elsewhere in the world... except if you're in Spijkenisse, NL, and are selling these things as fitting in an board they won't fit in. In that case it'll cost $534.92 plus postage.

The seller bought a LOT and sells them at an extreme price. I bought a Lot and sold each stick for about 2£ more than i payed for each . I have also had many different sticks some are not good for the blizzards others are..

Yes obviously the seller is cranking the price way up. Selling 128MB for almost 20 euro in 2009 is insane. I have seen these things sold in bulk for very very cheap, and if I wanted to have 100+ SIMMs I could get them for much cheaper. I only need one though.

I think I'll be better off going to thrift stores and yard sales and finding old computers to pull the SIMM out of rather than buying from another ebay pirate.

I'd pay more for one online, if it was guaranteed to fit without breaking my accelerator or requiring stupid stuff like rubber bands. I was skeptical about it being a good purchase, I took a gamble, I got screwed. Oh well.

Never played with LEGO ?
If you have a blizzard 1230 MKIV it's not that hard to install, not even for you.
And is not to hard to read and watch the pictures,if you don't can don't buy it.

It's been sold to the first bidder, so... no longer available from me. You're welcome to buy the same thing at a grossly inflated price on ebay, however.

Are you sure they aren't talking about chipram?  I've got 64mb installed in my desktop miggy which I think is the max unless you want to start mucking about with raising the case of the desk.
Life begins at 100 MIPS!

The abrasive way he sounds, it seems like he expected the guy to fly across the pond and install it for him....
