This looks like a cross between GTA and Firepower!

Anyone here play this before? What do you think of it?

There's nothing Firepower in it. Seriously, this was the first time you heard about it? :)

Edit: After downloading the demo, ahhh yes. I vaguely remember it now. The splattered blood still reminds me of Firepower  :-)

Yes, but you will need a VERY fast Miggy setup to enjoy this game at any resolution better than the lowest, which is why I skipped it several years ago when all I had was an A1200 w/ similar specs. Even with the specs of my A2500 listed below, I can only play this in its lowest resolution with my Picasso. This game does a wonderful job of testing the speed of your system, so go check it out!

The Payback demo runs too slow to be playable on my A1200 030/50 AGA system, unless the screen is reduced to the size of a postage stamp. You really need a 040, 060 or PPC to really enjoy this game. It ran nicely on my mates 040 A1200 years ago.
Amiga user forever.

If you really want to enjoy this game, a PPC equiped Amiga is a must have. Anything less is just a waste of your money.

It's a really nice GTA clone although the game maps are a bit small compared to GTA. I loved paying this game on my A4000/PPC and Pegasos II.

BTW, GTA & GTA 2 are available here for free!

Well, did you ever hear that GTA was available for Amiga? Payback is the closest thing to an Amiga version of GTA.

Maybe I got confused. Wasn't GTA developed first on Amiga?

No, the first GTA was released in 1997 for the Playstation and Windows, more info here. At that time the Amiga was nothing more than a vague memory to most people, like it is now  ;-)
