The GREAT Amiga Bring and Buy sale Event. (UK)
« on: March 09, 2009, 09:15:29 AM »
Hello all,

Amiga North Thames is considering hosting an Amiga bring and buy sale, for people who have cupboards/lofts full of unwanted Amiga hardware and software etc.
Given the interest in all things Retro, there's a good chance your unwanted hoard could find a good home.

Tables would be £3.00 for a small table and £5.00 for a large table. Admittance would be £2.00
- Looking at a date in May, if you are think you would attend to either bring or buy, post on to this thread so that
we can gauge numbers.
- Please only post if you know you could make it, we don't need false numbers.

Other usergroups welcome to attend.  Additional ideas or comments welcome. :-)

Depending on location I'd be up for this. Somewhere within easy reach from the M25 would beideal.
A3000T, Cybervision64, CSMKII 060; A3000D, PicassoII, Z3 Fastlane; A2000D, 040, PicassoII; A4000D, A1200, Blizzard 030 MKIV  (not working - next project)

Maybe if the entry fee included a bottle of Warsteiner beer...

We would love to do it, but so far the response has been pretty crap.

If you are interested, please post, give us some feedback, otherwise we'll drop the whole idea.

Thanks.

It's agood idea, but to far down south for me. There's not enough of us for decent regional events. Setting it in Brum or even central london would probably drum up more interest.

Cheers for your post, I am happy to announce that AmigaKit have expressed their support and will attend if/when date is finalised.

Additionally, Long time Amiga Retro retailer ForeMatt (formerly ForeMatt Home Computing) Have announced they too would attend)

I'd go, but there's a fluctuation in the power relays of the Transporter. Until the warp core's back on line, all I can transport are inanimate objects.

ENERGIZE!
