I changed maxtransfer and didn't loose any data. But i cannot guarantee that it will work for you so if you have anything important on the partition, back it up first!

Elite Advanced doesn't work here on my TekMagic (immediate freeze) nor does Zaxxon. The Alien Breed games seem OK. I've had few issues with WHDLoad on the Apollo, usually the "nocache" option takes care of it.

I think most of the incompatibilities are processor specific rather than accelerator type... the few problematic games on my Apollo 1260 give the exact same symptoms on the TekMagic.

*edit*

Changing the maxtransfer shouldn't mess your partition. If it does, you can always go back to the old value and recover any data.

Elite Advanced and Zaxxon both worked on my A2000/GVP040 with OS 3.1, but they don't work with OS 3.9. I haven't tried WHDLoad 16.9 on my A2000 yet. They both work on my A1200 with Apollo 1240.

I changed MaxTransfer on my boot partition, and I actually lost a game that worked before I changed it.

So far I haven't found anymore that work than before I changed it.

WHDLoad 16.9 got me a few more, but MaxTransfer doesn't seem to have helped.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what's a TekMagic?

i had more problems using whdload with my A600, than with the A4000 CyberstormPPC i'm now using. most of the problems where however due to little ram on the A600.
here's a few games i've run flawlessly in the last few days:
4x4 offroad racing, alcatraz, adventures of robin hood, all new world of lemmings.

using A4000 CyberstormPPC with OS 3.9, updated libs and drivers, whdload 16.9 registered.
Mi amiga..Mi amore..

Very little problems with WHDLoad - except new versions can break some old installs. But it can be bypassed by using an old version for instance in the game progdir when waiting if the old slaves get fixed.

I formatted DH0 and installed OS 3.9 on a empty hard disk, after setting MaxTransfer to 0x0000FE00. Then I installed the two Boing Bags, WHDLoad 16.9, and DOpus.

Still getting an extremely low success rate running WHDLoad games. Only about 20% of the AGA games work.
