Most 1200s on ebay are too expensive for the condition and come with unwanted crap.

So you have one of two choices ... negotiate with the seller on ebay, stating A1200 only required and let them relist the extra's in a new auction or go to amigakit.co.uk

If i cant get none of the above ill get a nos amiga for £150 from amigakit, but if i cant get a 4000 i would prefer to get a clean second hand 1200 for about 50 quid. The reason for this is i think i can get more miggy for my money if im spending £150+. so it goes like this

1)4000 for 100+
2)1200 second hand clean for 50ish (and the £100 will go towoards 040/060).
3)3000 for 100+ (expect to pay more)
4)2000 for 50-70
5)if i dont get what i want may aswell get something new.(amigakit)

Dear Friend:

Just for your information, I want to share something.
I have had my amiga 1200 for many years. Is good and reliable. I bought it used from a friend, for us$ 800.
For a stock a1200 with 020/14mhz, with a printer and monitor. Very pricey, as you see, but to me it was worth every penny. I upgraded it to accel 030 with 50mhz/fpu/16 mb ram and 3gig hd. This system was good enough to get started into 3d animation...and then many years later when my cash flow was much better, I was able to buy a super pentium pc with lightwave. The amiga was good enough to learn the basics of 3d animation before I could get into lightwave. Because my amiga was so good, I was able to learn animation with limited cash, before I moved on.
Now that I can render nice gfx on my pc/lightwave, I still use my amiga and aladdin 4d to create new original animations. As you see, the amiga was well worth what I paid.

A1200 bring more than 50 quid at auction, you are a few years to late for the giveaways. I don't have one for you, but somebody might feel nice.

My Amiga for sale is an A1200 with 4mb ram expansion and 1gb cf hdd. I am looking for £75 plus p&p.
As a side note, i have recently sold a blizzard 1230 for £130 and i have just purchased a Blizzard 040 PPC for £150 plus A1200 with Blizzard 1230.

not wanting to sound derogative or anything but please tell me where your gonna get NOS for £75? I have a NOS and i paid £100 (lucky purchase from neighbouring city via ebay).

Analogic have them listed at £100 plus p&p but from my previous dealings they have really bad customer service.

AmigaKit have them listed for £99 for refurbished and £150 for NOS.

what i mean is if i am spending close to £100 i may aswell spend 100-150 getting a refurb or nos. also the 4meg ram expansion is no value to me as i will be looking for an accelerator once i have the amiga, hopefully one that can run tbl demos.
