This is not really a WHDLoad issue. It's just telling you that the disk is corrupted in some way. Copying from one disk to another with xcopy might be able to rescue it, but if the disk is severely damaged or the game is copy protected then you might be stuffed.
In that case, you might as well file away (or bin) your disk and look for an already-installed WHDLoad version of the game which you can just extract on to your hard drive and run (with no disk required).
