CD Rom testing
« on: September 10, 2003, 01:14:43 AM »
I'm tring to decide if I have a problem with
a CD Rom disk or if my drives are acting up.

Does anyone know of a prg. that will step through
the tracks and read & test the data to determine
if the disk has read errors. That would be testing
both the disk and the drive.
I think my disk of OS 3.9 is bad but I would like
to prove to myself its not my drives before I  call
Software Hut.

Use MakeCD to copy the ISO image to HDD, then use cdromemu to mount the image and verify the files.

But at first you should try to adjust your CD mountlist as I told you in the other thread. Reduce MaxTransfer to 0xfe00.
