A3000 led problem
« on: February 15, 2009, 10:43:07 PM »
Hello guys,
working on setting up an A3000 desktop. All is fine, except the led of SCSI activity, it doesn't blink.
Of course I've tested the led, and led is ok.
Tried also to rework the welds on the led board.
On the pinout of led signal, (on the motherboard) only the power led work.
Any suggestion?

Tnx.

I'd check the SCSI LED signal path according with A3000 schematics, and would track all its way through the mainboard.

Can be tricky, as you will have to completely disassemble A3000 to get to the Dark Side of the motherboard.

Have you tested the disk LED on the power LED's connector? Jiggle the LED to see if it the connection to the LED PCB is good.
