Need advice on OS3.1 Desktop

Well, I just ordered a stock A1200, with 2MB RAM, 260MB Hard Drive.

What are my best bets on spicing up the OS3.1 desktop?

Dude!! You NEED newicons!! And you need to get the professional ClassAct, and the Powerful MUI user archive!! You must go to the toy aminet.net to find a whole load of stuff there!! Don't listen to anybody who says differently!! :-D

So, is this just a stock 2Meg machine? You could make your workbench quite pretty but you won't be able to run much after installing newicons, birdie, visualprefs etc... Well, not unless it only needs a few K of ram :-)

Get yourself an accelerator card if you can. I would even say a ram expansion but second hand processor ugrades are available for silly money - amigamad got himself a BlizzPPC for 50 quid on ebay recently ;-)

Yes, I am one of the web masters for GetBoinged.

Just haven't owned an original Amiga in awhile.  You can bet I will be using the GetBoinged search engine to look for the stuff on Aminet though.
