You will have to show me that trick next time you visit Chris.

Unfortunately, I don't think the video output from the CD32 will help you playing PAL games on an NTSC TV though.  Also, I am pretty sure the video out is regular composite, not S-Video, but I will have to look again to see if the CD32 has an S-Video output as well as the composite out.

I am glad you are getting some good use from the CD32, see you soon.
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

It's super easy. I'll write a tutorial and post it online. It does have an S-Video out. I guess I will have to drag home my 1084.

You know, CD32's allow you to choose NTSC or PAL in the early boot menu :-)
(press both mouse buttons when you reset)
A1200, Blizzard 030, 2+32MB ram, 4GB CF, pcmcia netcard, Kickstart 3,1
A600, 2MB chip ram+4Mb pcmcia S-RAM, Kickstart 3,1
CD32 - Just for fun  :-D

Right. I get a rolling display even if I choose PAL. Which is the format of most CD32 games it seems like..

Couldn't you get into the kickstart setup with holding two mouse buttons during the turning on of the cd32, and select ntsc/pal there?

You still need to use a 1084 or similar monitor for the PAL/NTSC output in the menu to have any impact.  Sending the video out through the S-Video jack won't do anything for you with regard to playing PAL games.

CD32 doesn't have RGB out the box though

Here they had, all is ready inside ! French edition only were natively equipped with a special 8 pin minidin connector at the place of SVideo output and the RFmod is kicked out...  ;-)
