MorphOS registration

Is it true MorphOS is registered to the MAC address of the computer?
Amiga 1200 Tower Os 3.9
BPPC 603e+ 040-25/200, 256MBram, BVIsionPPC, Indivision AGA MK2.
Amiga 2000 (rev 4.0) Os 1.2/1.3
2088 bridgeboard, 2MB ram card, 2091 SCSI.
Amiga 500+ Os 2.1
Derringer 030, 32MBram, Buddha in sidecar, Indivision ECS.
Amiga CD32
Video decoder

Yes, that's true.
And it is especially unpleasant for Efika users, since the MAC switches when the battery is backed up. And the Efika batteries are failing fast (dunno if it is becaue bplan used crappy batteries (mine was panasonic one, generally not a shabby brand I'd say) abd lasted less than two years. other ppl reort even much fatser failings. Hopefully the new battery will last longer...

Is it then possible to change into the original MAC address in some way?

AFAIK it usually changes between two different MAC addresses. So you have to make power cycles without battery to get the correct one and then put the battery back.
Daily MorphOS user and Amiga active.
