I have to chip in here... Nothing personal with Inquisitiv, but seriously: what's the point of taking out descriptions AND prices and writing a big ol' bold "sold" in place?

The whole value of (these) forums is that they're a historical archive. One can go back and see what something cost. It can help decide market value or estimate prices, it can help with any problems between seller and buyer (ex: look, it said X amount, not Y amount), and of course there's always the dark side, it can help price driving. However with a lively community the last can be combatted in some ways (use Amibay, or simply there should be enough FS threads that can show that the AVERAGE price is lower than one specific sale).

Any thoughts?

It seemed like the logical thing to do, i hate to click on a link only to find out the item already sold, I believe I recall seeing someone else do it. I didn't see a rule to say it was ok/not ok.

Now it seems an user here has acted like a little kid posting sold in all my item for sale threads.

Intead of educating the user you assume the individual guilty and just go on to attack and insult.

I think the logical thing to do is edit the subject/title text and leave the rest, possibly with ADDING "sold" next to the items. Else, might as well delete the thread. However that would be a loss to the community as sometimes there are valuable comments in the thread.

As for the "defacing" on your thread(s), yeah, I think the person admitted it to his silliness..
