« on: January 15, 2009, 08:17:08 AM »
Has anyone tried on of these.  I am thinking particularly for an a500 and playing games on VGA LCD.

It would be interesting to find out the power requirments as if they are not much you could possibly run it off the +5v on the amigas video out.

Dreaming ?

It would be great to hear if someone has blazed the trail.

My experience is that such power sources are quite unstable. With video, the quality loss this causes, is very visible.

I bought this one from another seller (not in ebay but a very thoughtful one) last year. It comes with power source (little but works perfectly). It is very well constructed (solid and with good aehstetic shape). You will need to buy a RGB to VGA adapter to use it. I bought one used Commodore original adapter here in BRazil but you will find easily in amigakit new ones but not Commodore originals ( I don't know if exists any differences). I used it with my LG Flatron LCD monitor few times because I get one internal scandoubler and I prefer to use it since it fit perfectly in my A1200/tower.
