Ok now tell me how I can tell the difference between pal and ntsc on a 1.3 system? I did the mod but I don't see the difference?

@Red

Not sur what you are trying to do ?

Do you have old 512k Agnuses (sounds odd) ?
Those that came in Pal OR NTSC ?

Or do you want to change the default setting on a 1/2mb Agnus ?

Putting in a PAL-Agnus should do the trick in the first case, and in the 2nd you
would need to disconnect on pin which is on ground in NTSC systems.

(I could check that in detail if needed).

Also remeber that real PAL-Amigas only run at 7.09 instead of 7.14mhz  :-o
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

@Kronos

The A500 has a rev5 motherboard and an 8370 Agnes, this is a 512K version IIRC. From scouring the net for info it wasn't clear if I could do the hack with a 512K Agnes.

So basically you are saying the 512K Agnes is NTSC *OR* PAL? Gotcha, thanks :-/
