I can not belive the abuse my a1200 has teken over the years.  how many times my tower has been taken apart and put back together, and bad traced relpaced with wire etc etc.

ITs the most abused piece of electronics I have ever owned ( and had the mobo since 92), and its still  running fine.

Taken to levaing on for days and dyas at a time using the bpcc on the amiga team rc key effort. solid as a rock

The worst thing that was/is being made to the Amiga is prolonging its state of the coma, unless of course, u're against euthanasia for moral principles.

Two years ago I fried an A4000D by putting the kickstart roms in the wrong way round...
Mind you, the com ports were already not working properly due to battery leakage

Battery has been removed and it's sitting in my parents attic now - may still prove useful for someone in a few years!

It's not a bad as you make it sound. I do not remember how old we were, I didn't get my Amiga until 1990 so we would have left school (i.e. over 16).

I remember she had braces ;-)

The worst things I've done!  

1. Installed a Fast ATA MkIII incorrectly into my A1200 killing both instantly.

2. Using a perfectly good 4000D case when drunk as a barbecue!

3. Give away my original CD32 + games collection to a pal at school.

Thinking about this some more I have one or two confessions to make...

1)  I'm yet another of those who used x-copy to aquire a games collection (which I no longer have, I might add).

2) When I lived at home with my parents I only had a smal room.  I bought so many Amigas in various states that some of them did end up down the tip due to lack of space.  In my defence it was only some manky A500's, possibly one or two crusty A2000's and a non-functioning A1000 which was quite yellow.  I still feel bad about it though as I could have stripped them for loads of spares  :-(  I really don't remember why I didn't.

I had an A1000 in high school with front side mem expansion and Spirit Board 2 mb expansion as well. Added two external floppies (one high density). Gave it to my brother when I went to university and got an A2000. My brother's basement apt. flooded and the A1000 was under water for a weekend. Dried it out for a week and it lived! Internal floppy died so replaced it with one for an A500. It was too long so I cut the front face plate off so it could stick out the front. Then it sat at my parents place unused for ten years or so. My dad cleaned house and threw it in the trash. To be fair, he did warn me.

Bought an A500 with the GVP Turbo side car thing with a HD. Never really used it. Sat in my garage forever. I had completely lost interest in the Amiga at that point and the wife wanted the garage cleaned so I threw it out.

Regained interest a few years ago and pulled my old A2000 with GVP 030/40mhz, ram, SCSI expansion out of the basement. Still works! Yes I removed the battery, and I still have the high density floppy. Now I cringe when I think about the two machines that I trashed.  :-(

I got an A3000 off a programmer and then loaned it to my friend who 'knew' more about Amigas than I did.  It never worked right again.

I fried a motherboard in the A1200 tower I bought.  I bought a replacement and I think I fried that one too on accident.  ARGH!!!

I remember when I helped my friend set up his first BBS.  All I can say is CNET!  (A great BBS program after we beat our heads trying to learn to run it.)
