When carrying an A500 downstairs to use on the big TV (when i was a kid) I dropped it and it tumbled and bounced end over end down the stairs before cracking open against the front door!

Very carefully put it back to together having opened it up to reseat everything (I've always been fairly technically minded) and happily it all worked fine :-)

I do remembered being both mortified AND terrified that it might be broken!

Putting Apollo A520 accelerator wrong way into my A500T Micronik bus board edge connector - pffffft...Had to buy Blizzard 2060 so happy end but not moneywise  :crazy:

Hi All-
I set up my A4000 and just let it run for a few years, playing freecell every time I walked by.  Finally it started to crash more and more often.  If I let it cool off it would run again for a while, leading me to think I had a cooling problem.  I took it apart and found that a mouse had got in to the power supply (a warm place in a cold climate) and built a nest and packed it with stored food.  Cleaned it up and it has been running fine since (over a year).  Robust machine.

Oh boy.... You are so amateurs :)

Worst thing; when i bought my pc (~3-4 years ago), a month later i throwed away my A1200+Blizzard IV + 16MB ram + half-functional mouse.

I am not sorry too much about that, but i should have give it away to some collector....

Tried to Sabotage an A600,
Not exactly my computer.
My friend bought an A600 from Dixon and was unable to return it unless it was faulty, so cleverly we decided to pour orange juice on it. Nothing happened.
Result - A sticky 1200 keyboard and no refund!
Ach well!

edit - That should be 'A600' keyboard, and Dixons should be plural otherwise people might wonder just who Dixon is??!

Sell a CDTV to fund for a PS1 :boohoo:. Later I sold the PS1 for funding of a BlizzardPPC (that's the one Bloodline regrets buying :lol:). No idea where that money went, probably funded the local pubs.

Sold my Beloved A500 in the early 90's to get money for gas, so that i could visit my girlfriend.. Nowadays ex girlfriend.. What didn't a young man do for some  p****y those days..  well hmm.. when i think about it, nothing has changed..  :-D
