Considering selling my A4000T
« on: January 07, 2009, 02:04:03 PM »
Hi Guys,
I'm in need of some advice.
I've not used my A4000T for ages, and I could do with some readies. But I've never sold any of my Amiga stuff online.
What sort of price could I expect for the list below?
and where would be the best place to sell it?  It's heavy, and i'm UK based, so i'm considering doing buyer collects. I'll probably avoid ebay...

Amiga technologies A4000T
CD-ROM
Picasso IV 4mb with scandoubler/ flicker fixer
DPS PAR MPEG encoder
warpengine 28mhz 040
HD floppy drive
WB 3.1 roms
WB 3.1 A4000T disks.
Not sure of the hardrive(s) and memory.

Any help would be appreciated.

Where in the Uk are you ?

I woould be very interested at the right price.

Its worth what ever you are willing to part with it for.

Your best best for the most money would be to split all the parts up on sell on ebay.

But depends if you want quick sale, im sure a lot of people on here, me included will want to buy this .

That's a nice setup. Much will depend on whether the case is complete and all the daughter modules are present.

Guess I'll need to look into that. It's got a lot of daughter boards in it, i'll have to sort through and see.

Hi Khephren,

Well, first as mentioned, try to get as much info about your system as possible, RAM, hard drives, all installed cards and daughter boards, and if they work or not
Minor nitpicking: The PAR is not an MPEG encoder, it uses a variation of JPEG, Motion JPEG,  iirc...

I have had to send a pretty nice 4000T (see my sig.) through the mail for repair, obviously, if you can avoid this it would be best. But, that said, I think you may get much more for your picasso 4 w/ SS and FF if you sell it separately via EBay.. maybe even the Warp Engine, too bad it's a 28MHz... but who knows... Amiga hardware can go for crazy prices sometimes...
Just my .02 ...
