FS: Amiga 4000 Video Toaster
« on: January 02, 2009, 02:42:19 PM »
Hello! I have moved into a small condo (from a large apartment) and have to slim down my computer collection. Therefore, I am selling the following...

* Amiga 4000 (040) Video Toaster (with Flyer cards and 3 SCSI drives, and other enhancements which i'll take pics of)
* S-Video card (4 S-Video in ports, one S-Video out port)
* Amiga 1200 030 Accelerator card.
* Toaster Millennium Collection (loaded with additional wipes and transitions)

I'm trying to get a decent but fair amount for these items. I'll take pics when possible, I just need some extra cash for mortgage/xmas gifts. These items were working perfectly when I got them (and before my scandoubler/converter died and before my roomate threw out my 060 Amiga 1200 in the trash  :madashell: )

I believe murder would be justified in such a case. :crazy:

OK ---

I have manged to grab my Amiga 4000D with the video toaster from my storage unit...

S-Video Card installed
Flyer Card installed
Video Toaster card installed, software on machine.
I have lots of software I cant find right this minute.

I'm looking for some extra cash as I'm saving to buy an engagement ring for my significant other (who actually doesnt mind computers :)  )

I paid well over $700 for this setup, I dont really know what its worth, i'll ship (via UPS) anywhere to any amiga fan who wants one of these...

I'm happy to answer any questions --- *somewhere* i have the ROMS that allow running OS 3.9, and I also have the 3.9 CD as well....

Like i said, I love these machines, I just dont have the room for my setup... :(

QuarkX from the group here just paid $250 for a 4000D setup sans the Toaster and Flyer. Flyers seem to run about $100 and so does the VT. Maybe $400-$500 for your system? I'm not offering, just saying. If you have a TBC, tack on another $100 or so. These systems do not depreciate like a Mac or PeeCee!!

Not too long ago, I remember a guy that lives in my state also sold his A4000D for $250... seems to be the going rate for a complete, yet barebones system. You might do better (or sell at all) at yanking the extras and selling everything off separately. Parting this stuff out seems to be the way to do it now-a-days.

The room mate is definitely not an Amiga user.
That is really messed up.
 :-(
Amiga 2000 Forever :)
