I did not mean to be funny!
I just assumed that it would cost a lot to send anything overseas.

If the patent has run out, maybe someone could go and start making resin replacement copies.

weirdami, Actually, resin would prob. be too brittle for it. (Unless there is a special type of resin that is semi-flexible, I know the polyurethane resins that I have used aren't.) Trapdoor covers have to flex a little, at very least at the catch. Now if someone had a few grand* to get some made in injection-molded plastic, and make some A4KT drive bay covers while they're at it   :-D

*I believe companies that do this require 1,000 units minimum.

    What sucks is that a few years back I had two A500s that completely and totally died and I scrapped them without thinking to save the trapdoor covers.

    I mean, who would lose stuff like that, right? The things aren't exactly prone to just falling off.

I would send 2 covers, but I have no paypal.
There must be someone "overthere" who has at least one they can spare. :-?

I sent 2 x lots of A4KT keys to America for approx £1.50 each. That's about the price of a Pint of Beer here in the UK.
it was a signed for service too!
(It's cheaper to drink Petrol here in the UK than beer)
Alas, the keys didn't fit; I didn't ask for any money just in case of this fact but for the price of a pint.....;
I wasn't too bothered!

It would cost me 9USD to send it as a letter, without insurance.
I could get at least 2 beers at the nearest bar for that price :-P
