I just spotted this bit of news on Minimig.net:
Not to be outdone by the 2MB memory expansion for the Minimig v1.1 demonstrated by Jaqube, Jens has announced an 8MB "upgrade" to the C-One core and released it in time for Christmas. Who says there isn't a Santa Claus?
Copied from the [cone_cores] Yahoo Group.
From Jens Schoenfeld...
"Hi list,
the best way of saying "merry christmas" is with a little gift: The Minimig core V1.21 which is available from the download section of the official C-One website http://www.c64upgra.de/c-one makes use of the large memory chip on the FPGA extender: In addition to 2M Chipmem and
1M fake-fast memory, there's now another 8M fastmem usable from any program, resulting in a total of 11 Megabytes of usable memory. The update also fixes a few timing-problems, so any startup problems should finally be a thing of the past.
Thanks to Tobias for all the work, but I'd like to mention that I helped a little with the autoconfig stuff.
So.. merry xmas to everyone out there, and I hope to see someone at tUM between the 28th and the 30th of december!
ciao,
Jens"
At least this one won't tax my (non-existant) soldering skills.
