Weird CD32 Attachment

I was looking at this auction:

What is that thing. According to the guy it gives RGB capability to the CD32 (which is only composite). What about the RGB SCART cable pinouts

Does this addon have a name? I want to look it up on Amiga book of hardware.

In one of the photos I see a SCART cable.

This attachment have a big bug (at least mine) if you play cd32 games with this one connected some pad buttons dont work.

It's not a VGA connector. It's just 15KHz RGBS (aka SCART)

Its not the standard Amiga RGB out socket though, is it?

Not the same connector but it's the same signals.

23-pin D connectors were rare, expensive and overkill for RGBS. This is either a cost saving Or more likely a mistake.

I think they put on their schematics "15-pin D" to match VGA, not realising that VGA is "15-pin D-Sub".

From what I remember the fWSI video socket has a non standard pinout. (i.e. it's not the same as a MAC)

DB23 connectors have never been hard to find, and they're only expensive compared to more common connectors like the DB25. Otherwise, the price is nothing a hobbyist would sneeze at.

I made a cable by myself for rgb with this attechment for cd32 using pins:

 3 red
 4 green
 5 blue
 6 composite (for a sync)
 9 blanking signal
15 blanking signal

 These are the  pins that i use for made it running fine (at least mine).

Man, some people totally didn't pass the "Wall Street Institute" training program on CD32 - or wouldn't be in this mess. Explains everything.

Its unreadable, too late and the mother language of some people is not english.

Depends on how you use it.  :-D

Those were the connectors everyone used. All you do is put the traces on the edge of the PCB, then slide the board between the pins of the connector and solder. Who needs right angle headers or all that carp?  8-)

The CD32 has the best expansion port connector of any Amiga and is available TODAY yet no one's made a modern PPC accelerator for it to run OS4...
