A2000 RGB output problem
«

My A2000 mono video output works fine, but my RGB is completely dead. The same cable/monitor combo tests out perfectly on my A500. Any idea what the problem could be? Do I need to find a whole new motherFboard? Thank you. -Dave

Hi,
got the same last year.
Dead fuse (F5 the one close to the port), it looks like a resistor !!
Check also if a track is not cut.

the fuse is for +12V, I think, and its green (IIRC its 4A!).
when you put that voltage on one of scart pins, TV automatically switches to RGB. but you should be able to do it manually, dunno about monitors.
RF modulator also needs it.

RGB activation is always done with the 12V pin, haven't seen any TV that allowed you to manually switch.
Actually, you can use just about any fuse from 200 mA to maybe 4A.

interestingly, all TVs that I have seen allow selecting RGB with remote controller (so I deliberately cut 12V on my scart cable as safety).
200mA might not be enough if he attaches something else one day..
