Slow transfers with Genesis

While both stacks are configured basically the same, I'm lucky to achieve 50 kB/sec with Genesis (from the internet), whereas MiamiDx is 300-500 kB/sec no problem.

Same issue on my A2000 and A1200, regardless of how I try configuring my network... and no problem with MiamiDx, or my PC.

Any obvious setting in Genesis I'm overlooking?

I've tried adjusting various settings with no change. Whether the connection is direct to my router, wireless (via WAP or PCMCIA), it is the same. Same static route config for both stacks, gateway (my router), DNS servers, optimal MTU, etc, all correct. :shrug:

I may set a few up at once, try some local transfers, and see what happens there. I suppose Miami works just fine, but I find this odd since Genesis is often reported to be "faster". Obviously I'm missing some key detail.

 It does work fine unless you launch something which opens a large number of simultaneous connections, like Ctorrent.
 In that case, Miami[DX] corrupts TCP/IP traffic! (This could be a bug of Ctorrent or ixemul.library instead, though...)

 Yeah, everyone says that AmiTCP is MUCH faster and less CPU consumptive than MiamiDX and i have no reason to doubt them, but, like you, i just can't confirm it.
 I don't have such big different in speed like you reported. Genesis/AmiTCP is about 5-7kbps slower than MiamiDX in my setup. CPU load is almost the same for both stacks.
 Perhaps i'm missing something as well...
