Quick Indivision question
« on: December 15, 2008, 05:11:07 PM »
I was reading the official press release by Individual Computers about the Indivision aga here and it says:

"Two options have been added for retro-gaming enthousiasts that allow a step-by-step approximation to the display of an old TV set: Vertical syncrtonisation allows reducing the output frequency down to 49.9Hz, which will eliminate tearing-effects. In addition to that, a scanline-emulation can be switched on. This will emulate the dark lines between the scanlines of a TV screen."

Does this mean that if my TFT monitor does not support 49.9Hz, I will be stuck with jerky scrolling?

Yes. Really no way around it though unfortunately.

PAL software at 60Hz looks pretty bad. 75Hz is much more acceptable (you can program the Indi), if your LCD can display it correctly. Personally I'd recommend a CRT, it will look better for a number of reasons.
