Vesalia has nos units in stock wired internally to run at 220V. A simple reconfig can get it to run at 110V. It's basically a 5 min long soldering job. 25.90 EUR is the price.

That's how Commodore designed them. It's essentially the same technique used as with modern power supplies that have the 110/220V switch on them, but C= opted for the more cumbersome way. :-)

@x56h34

That's perfect, I didn't think to check Vesalia. I've ordered one, the rewire is a snap. Thanks for the heads up.

Doh!...I'm not familiar with the A-3000; so I  don't know if a power supply from an A-2000 would work?
I have one from an A-2000 and asking only about $35 bucks shipped

Hi!
The A3000T, A2000 and A3000(D) all have different power supplies. Thanks for the offer though :-)

Was the reconfiguration a "change one 1-wire" deal?

Haven't got the PS yet, but looking at my bad one it should be a change one wire deal.

@Redrumloa

Would you consider buying a second 3000T power supply and "fixing" it for the usa.
and then selling it to a another 3000T builder? (me)

With appro costs...

Michael

@SACC-guy

Shouldn't be a problem. Let me get mine and if all goes well I'll see about getting another.
