So, you mean that there's new information on that subject that's not on that website?

Why ppl use this icon a lot when talking about that ----> :horse:

@hbarcellos,

That icon signifies "flogging a dead horse", which is a saying that refers to discussing the same issue over and over again, even though it is never going to work...

:-)

Cheers,

Mike.

TheCroW in this forum made it work with a standard mac mini, 1,42GHZ and 1GB ram...(no silent update).

I've booted it myself in my Mac Mini G4, but I get corrupt graphics. It's supposed to work, anyway, but there isn't enough info around...

It does work but that doesn't change the fact that there isn't any USB support, no working network drivers, no audio, ect. I doubt anyone will ever address these issues either. It's too bad because OS4 flies on a 1.5 GHZ machine.

If the issues ever do get resolved and OS4 will work on the mini...expect the price on EBAY and Craigslist G4's to skyrocket as Amiga hoarders pounce on them.

Hmmmm...
1) If Hyperion wins the legal battle they'll try to expand the park of supported machines? for example to g4 Macs?

2) If Amiga Inc. wins the legal battle they'll try to expand the park of supported machines? for example to g4 Macs?

Well, Personally, would it not be more logical for Hyperion to port os4.1 to all MAC PPC hardware types in the end. I mean, that would give many of those owning a mac ppc 2002 model the chance to run duel boot.

It would also mean, many more amiga users may ome back into the market, because the own a PPC mac??

Just a thought!

Cheers.

P.S. Didnt the mac PPC hardware stop in 2006 at around 2.5Ghz?? Cheers again.

It's dead Jim, we don't have the resources to break it or patch it like Hackitosh people do. Defeated by EFI and drivers...

The fact that you can`t run AmigaOS4 on mac PPC hardware is the biggest shame to do with the Amiga in the last few years.

So close, and yet so, so, so far.
