You've managed to connect the sx32 and the fmv card at the same time? Or just seperately? I always wondered if this was possible with a homemade adapter or something like that.

Steve.

Rare? You can still buy them brand new on ebay for £35 (~$51)

Not possible. And why would you want to? The FMV card is practically useless in todays day and age. You'd watch the movie on Cannon Fodder once and then take it out and put it back in the attic :-)

The SX32 Pro however is another beast. Hmmmm SX32 Pro droool....

Cue 70's Porn Track....
"Baw chika waw waw"

I had the Sx-1 and the FMV. Sold them...

The cd32 with the FMV was great to play all the hong kong action movies available on video CD back in the 90s.

Nowdays you can burn videocd's with lots of software, very easy to do if you were so inclined. Not practical, but cool. The FMV quality on an RGB monitor was nice.

Or you could just use a £3.99 DVD player from ASDA

Watching VCD movies is not a reason to want a cd32 FMV cartridge.

Wow, that's pretty negative. This FMV card is cool as hell and there are tons of VCD movies out there, if you look for them. I have a James Bond box set here with 24 movies. The picture quality is much better than I expected, at least on this monitor it looks the same as DVD quality. With the remote I am bundling in the auction, I was tempted to keep for myself.

Then again, I am tempted to keep everything

The only reason I bought a CD32 when it was released was to connect to my living room TV and watch VCDs.  Unfortunately the FMV module started to stutter after prolonged use (probably a heat problem) and I returned it to Commodore for repair... just before they shut up shop, so I never saw it again.  {bleep}s!  :-)
