I always used MiamiDX on my A4000T until the keyfile was corrupted in a disk crash. Holger is MIA and all requests for replacement keyfiles are seemingly now ignored.
MiamiDX was more reliable than Genesis is, but Genesis is still supported and still being updated. The MUI and Boopsi versions are the same in functionality. I prefer the MUi version personally, but a lot of people hate MUI for some reason or another. (Yes, I have had problems with MUI from time to time, but the enhancements MUI provides to AmigaOS are worth the rare occasion that somethign goes wrong.)
As a matter of fact, I just got done setting up a ntwork for Harv a few weeks ago using Genesis, AmigaExplorer, Samba, and VNC. The only problem with Genesis is that on some systems it is unstable. For instance, Harv was having problems with Genesis crashing on a network disconnect.
MiamiDX crashed occasionally too, but it was overall more reliable, and more straightforward in some respects. The DHCP option seems to still be lacking in Genesis (or maybe it is lackign from AmiTCP period?) which is really annoying if you do not use a router or gateway on your system, but there isn't much of a choice right now.
Overall Genesis is a really decent piece of software, and it comes with the OS (v3.9), which is a plus.
Best of luck to you with whatever rout you choose to take.
