Identify this cable?

It could be an adapter to connect the Microway flickerFixer to some non-VGA standard monitor. An old Mac monitor, maybe?

edit -- DOH! Guess I stated the obvious... don't know what it could be used for in amigaland.

edit #2 -- how about connecting a PC "flight stick" to amiga?? JetPilot (for example) can use analogue PC joysticks IIRC.

With two different DIY connectors on each end, it could be anything.

The only fact: a 9pin to 15pin converter.

The wires could be crossed for any application. Sorry this is not much help.

This one should be easier. This is probably a poor man's  Amiga parallel port to midi adapter? If so, what software would support it?

It's not a C64 to parallel printer?  Or C64 floppy drive to Amiga serial port?

Nope, wrong DIN connector. This 4pin DIN would be appropriate for MIDI. Commodore IEC is 6pin DIN.

Looking at the photo I see at least five pins, I think there are six and the bottom two look like one because of the pic.  I think it's a 1541 to serial port cable myself.  Looking at a PC here (in this case a Pegasos) the par port is the same gender as this cable, so it either is a serial port cable, or it goes to an Amiga 1000's parallel port.  The Amiga 1000's par port is male instead of the standard female for some reason.  (I looked at my 1000 to make sure I was not mistaken on this.)

The cable on the upper pic is an adapter for PC style analogue joysticks on the Amiga.

The lower pic most probably is a 1541-adapter for the parallel port. If you open the d-sub plug and there's no electronics inside, it can't be a MIDI i/f. The contacts of a MIDI plug are arranged in a semi-circle.

My mistake, I should have said 5pin DIN. But yes, that is definitely MIDI. I have multiple MIDI interfaces here and they are all 5pin DIN.

100% this is not an X1541 cable, the DIN is a MIDI. C= IEC is 6pin DIN, MIDI is 5pin din.
