So it's been what 11 months since my last post and I haven't really gotten much further with my 4000 project. Lots of things happened over the last few months so project Amiga was on hold. Now I am back on board and recently ordered the Buddah controller and CD / DVD drive from AmigaKit, OS 3.9 from Softhut and a new IDE drive from newegg. My hope is to somehow get the CD/DVD drive working with the existing 3.0 workbench and then make an emergency disk for 3.9 and install it on a fresh new drive. Oh yeah I also picked up a set of 4000D 3.1 roms on ebay.
So I am waiting for everything to arrive and hopefully will have another update when I am fully up and running. My main concern right now is getting (if it is even possible) the CD drive with the Buddah card to talk to WB 3.0 so I can make my floppy to install 3.9 on my new drive when it comes. It's all a bit of an adventure though and quite exciting
Can you tell I haven't really got a clue what I'm doing! (just reading lots on here and hoping I'll figure it out as I go!)
